What can be laminated?

Almost anything flat can be laminated. The best known uses for lamination are ID cards and restaurant menus. However, whenever you have flat materials you need to protect, enhance or reuse, then lamination can be the way to go.

Lamination also stiffens the material, making it excellent for creating table top displays and hanging posters/signs.

A few uses for lamination:

  • ID and membership cards
  • Luggage tags
  • Business cards
  • Signs in retail stores
  • Table top displays
  • Photographs
  • Training materials
  • Phone lists
  • Hanging posters or signs
  • Directional signs for conferences
  • Presentation materials
  • Sales and marketing materials
  • Maps
  • Check lists
  • Instruction sheets
  • Reference sheets
  • Menus
  • Temporary signs
  • Maintenance procedures
  • Inventory lists
  • Price lists
  • Presentation/Report covers
  • Safety signs
  • Equipment tags
  • Press clippings
  • Line cards

Essentially any flat sheet, photograph, poster, sign or card can be laminated. Lamination will protect them from spills, stains, wear and tear, and handling that degrades the quality of the item you are protecting. Lamination also provides a surface you can write on, wipe clear and write on again.
